Electrical Hub18th Edition
The 18th Edition is the term commonly used in the industry when referring to the latest British Standards BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations. You may also hear them referred to as ‘wiring regs’. 18th edition regulations apply to electrical wiring systems in commercial, industrial and domestic buildings.
The 18th Edition exam tests your ability to find the correct regulation using the information in the question. The question will always contain clues that will direct you to the correct section or page of the Wiring Regulations book. This comprehensive guide to the exam by LearnElectrics will show you how to interpret the exam questions and identify key words that will point you in the right direction. Being methodical and organised is key to successfully passing the exam; this guide will show you how to find the answers to the questions easily and within the two minutes allowed for each question.
This guide works alongside the Wiring Regulations book. See the Reading List for more information.
