What are Essential Skills?

Fundamental to the skills agenda in Wales, Essential Skills qualifications enable learners to develop their knowledge in application of number, communication, and digital literacy. Essential Skills qualifications help you to develop and demonstrate that you can apply these vital skills to a range of situations whilst at work, in learning and throughout life.

They are a mandatory part of your apprenticeship framework and will be delivered to you over the course of your programme.
